A centrifugal slurry pump is a kind of centrifugal pump which uses the centrifugal force generated by a rotating impeller to impart kinetic energy to the slurry.
A slurry pump is made up of impeller, casing, bearing assembly and frame. Power components include electromotor, belt pulley coupler, etc. Wear parts include lining plate. Shaft seals contain packing seal, expeller seal, etc. When the impeller is rapidly rotating, the vane accelerates materials to rotate, thus the rotating material will fly off by the centrifugal force. After the material within the pump being expelled, the center of the impeller will form a vacuum area. Then the material will go into the feed pipe through pipe network under the pressure of atmosphere or water. By circulation, continuous feeding is available, and can reach the process design requirements of head and flow rate. Currently, the feeding method uses the press-into type.
