Recently, the mentor-apprentice initiation ceremony of Nippo Mining Machinery was successfully held in the large conference room on the fifth floor of the Administration Building. Company leaders including General Manager Cheng Sheng and Executive Deputy General Manager Zhang Guoliang attended the ceremony. A total of 11 pairs of newly matched mentors and apprentices, together with representatives from various departments, participated in the event and witnessed this important moment of craftsmanship inheritance.

In-depth Cultivation with Fruitful Achievements
At the ceremony, the host introduced the development achievements of the company’s mentor-apprentice system. Since the system was launched in 2017, nearly 200 pairs of mentors and apprentices have been matched, among which 131 pairs have completed the training program, supplying a large number of core talents for all positions.
The 11 newly paired mentors and apprentices come from multiple departments including the Slurry Pump Research Institute, Mining Equipment Research Institute, Forging Workshop, Machining Workshop and Wear-resistant Materials Research Institute. The apprentices paid formal homage and offered tea to their masters in turn, while the masters accepted appointment certificates and badges, officially establishing the inheritance relationship between masters and apprentices. The solemn ritual embodies the fine tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education, and opens a new chapter of passing on experience from senior staff to newcomers for joint progress.
Teachers Impart Wisdom, Apprentices Practice with Sincerity
At the ceremony, representatives of masters and apprentices took the stage to deliver speeches in turn with sincere words and original aspirations.
Xu Zhiming from the Wear-resistant Materials Research Institute spoke on behalf of the masters. He stated that he would keep in mind the tutoring responsibility, set an example by words and deeds, and pass on professional skills, practical experience and fine work styles without reservation. He will fully undertake the mission of passing on knowledge, offering help and guiding newcomers, teach students in accordance with their aptitude, and promote mutual progress to help new employees grow rapidly.
Li Jiahui from the Wear-resistant Materials Research Institute spoke on behalf of the apprentices. He expressed that all apprentices are full of gratitude and ready to learn modestly. They will take masters as role models, study diligently, ask earnestly, work steadfastly, delve into professional expertise, apply what they have learned, abide by disciplines, forge ahead actively, strive to master solid professional skills at an early date, and take responsibility and make achievements in their own posts.

General Manager Cheng Sheng delivered an important speech at the mentor-apprentice initiation ceremony and extended sincere expectations to all masters and apprentices. He emphasized that the mentor-apprentice program is no longer a mere ceremony, but a talent cultivation tradition rooted and accumulated by Nippo Mining Machinery over nine years, as well as a vital bond for skill inheritance, cultural dissemination and new employee growth. He hoped all masters would act as guides, passing on professional skills without reservation and setting an example with a strong sense of responsibility. He encouraged young apprentices to maintain an open-minded attitude, study diligently, think actively, devote themselves to their posts and hone their capabilities through practice. He also urged all employees to uphold the spirit of down-to-earth work, stay true to the original aspiration with craftsmanship, drive development through solid efforts, and jointly consolidate the enterprise’s talent foundation.
At the end of the ceremony, all masters and apprentices took a group photo to freeze this warm moment and keep the commitment of inheritance in mind.After nine years of dedicated cultivation, the mentor-apprentice program has become a vital part of Nippo’s talent training system.
